Looking Good!
Indeed, the Sens look to have found something, and it works.
They all looked very sharp and Neil continues to impress me and I hope all of you.
My original prediction was that Ottawa gets 3pts from this Home and Home, but it looks like they may get 4. They have looked really strong and perhaps they can go on a run and win 4 or 5 in a row and get back to the higher part of the standings and on the right track. They play Tor, Bos, Mtl, Car then Wsh before running into a HOT Atl team that will cool off at some point.
Also, if you read the Sun today, you will see more on Perrault. After reading this I contacted a guy who has more info on this than I could get my hands on and this was his response via email:
“The article is right; the team is making a serious push for him. Sending down Kaigorodov and Hamel would be the most logical option; however a small deal might be in the works, perhaps trading Hamel for a pick. If Perrault does come here - which I know he would prefer because it’s close to home so - he might be willing to take slightly less than 1MIL to play here…… If something happens, it will be in the next week…..."
So there you have it.
That’s about all I have right now, as always I am keeping me ears open.

I read also that Perreault wants sign two year deal. Muckler - like I think - wasn't happy with that. Sens for me is out of broadside.
Garrioch is now saying that Perreault won't be coming here...and that the Sens balked at paying the $1 million asking price.
Garrioch says alot of things....its never over until he has signed somewhere.
I would like to see Kaigorodov sent down to Bingo for the rest of the year. He is not going to get better by playing 1:59 like he did the other night. He needs to get some confidence and to play with offensive minded guys. A year in Bingo might be just the right step in his career.
As for Perrault, anything more than a one year deal is too much. But right now the only place for him would be as a fourth line centre and 1 million is too much for a 4th line centre
Leafs suck !
What about Axelsson?
This team badly needs a shakeup...some kind of deal has to be coming. This team is WAY too talented to be 5-6. I expect some rumours soon SI.
Hey sensinsider, what are the latest trade talks?
Yeah, what gives? Now would be a good time for an update.
Apparently LA had 4 scouts at the game last night. Rumour is thatthey are interested in Alfie but I think they were looking at Volchenkov, Schaefer, Vermette, not Alfie or any of our older players.
Eklund on hockeybuzz.com is reporting a blockbuster trade between Ottawa and Calgary, maybe even a third team involved. Have you heard anything?
hey guys....i will have an update soon. I will tell you in the meantime that Ottawa is planning a deal within the next 10-14 days...they have to iron out somethings first tho....i will keep you updated.
Also should mention, that for the time being, Im next to positive Alfie isn't going anywhere. They are looking for someone to play with him....Conroy is the leading candidate but they are apparently 'exploring all options'....If Conroy was here, you will probably see something like McAmmond, Alfie, Conroy - a line that would fit nicely together. LA wants a D-Man firstly....not sure who the Sens are willing to part with right now though.
Who else are the Sens looking at besides Craig Conroy?
You know, you could start typing the players names right:
Perrault - Wrong!
Perreault - Right!
Just a bit of a pet peeve to see you screw his name up consistantly.
