ASG = Not Good for Sens

Yes, the ASG is approaching and so is the break. 6 days off is not good for a team that is rolling. Yes they will be healthy - however - momentum is strong, and hopefully they can continue the roll they are on. Tonights matchup vs. VAN - will be a great matchup.

Here is what I anticipate the lines will be when Spezza & Fisher return.

Heatley, Kelly, Alfie
Fisher, Spezza, Eaves/Vermette
Schaefer, Comrie, Neil
Schubert, McAmmond, Eaves/Vermetter

- McGratton, Hamel - scratched. Hamel may be moved or picked up through waivers. Also, Ottawa may add another defenseman for depth. Not Pitkanen. No chance - unless they move a roster player.

More soon.

Thanks.

ASG not good?

If I heard/read different from numerous Sens...

Good time to recharge and rest up...

Do you think Alfredsson and Co. wont have words of wisdom after the game vs Boston and when they get back to practive next week?

Is Gerber going to be moved before the deadline?

At least tell me that Muckler is trying to move him!

Move gerber? No frigging way! We need a goalie that has at least some plaoff experience backing up Emery in the playoffs. To put Guard or Glass in the backup role would be playoff suicide. The only way i can see Muckler making a move with Gerber is if he gets a veteran goalie or defenceman in return. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Of course when moving Gerber we'd be receiving a back-up in the deal...

Did you really think I meant swap him for just a mid/late pick ?

When I say the ASG is not good, I mean it in a different way. Sure it is good to recharge and rest however ALL TEAMS that are playing well will tell you that when you have momentum, you want to keep playing and that is what Im referring to.

Gerber will not be moved unless they get another veteran goalie in return. I have heard Joseph again if Ottawa compensates Phoenix well or eats some of the salary.

Ottawa may try to obtain a veteran player as well. McGratton, Hamel whispers (which I do not believe) of Eaves being moved are possibilities.....

Enjoy the ASG

Whispers of Eaves I am talking about....I do not believe Ottawa would move him.

I want to know who the GM was that convinced Barnett to nix the Gerber for Joseph & Nash deal a few months ago...

I'd imagine Muckler was pretty pissed

Had to be Ferguson Jr., which is probably how the Tellqvist for Nash deal got consummated between Toronto and Phoenix.

Any news on the possible logo "alterations" or "modernization" that Mlakar spoke about on the TEAM1200 this afternoon?

I hope the rumour printed in today's Ottawa Sun (Corvo for either Torres or Stoll) comes true...that would be sweet.

EDM may pony up Torres or Lupul, not Stoll...

Torres or Lupul will do just fine.

If they trade Corvo doesn't that leave us awfully thin on the blue line? I just don't see that happening. Not unless it was Corvo for another Defenseman - hopefully cheaper. Then again, i'm not convinced it's such a good idea to move Corvo.
